Upper Floor Insulation Project Extended Through July 2nd The upper floor of Pelletier Library is unavailable to the general public while a crew insulates the ceiling. Although originally scheduled to be completed by June 24th, the project now will continue into early July. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Allecat and the Library System Are Back Up The Library has completed the software upgrade to Allecat. Unless problems are discovered during the the morning hours of Thursday, June 26th, Allecat and all other library systems shoud be back to normal functionality. If you have problems accessing our subscription databases from off-campus, please contact Alan Bartlett. (abartlet@allegheny.edu).

Allecat and the Library System Will Be Down Thursday Morning June 26th Allecat and the Library's automated system will be down for software maintenance on Thursday morining, June 26, 2008. During the upgrade many services will be unavailable including Allecat, off-campus access to subscription databases, and the "Journal Title" search. If all goes as planned the system will be back up for general use by noon. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Scheduling Laptops and Projectors Circulating laptop computers and media projectors, that were formally available using Scheduler, can now be booked on Allecat, the Library's on-line catalog. Simpy do a search for "laptop computer" or "media projector" and use Book this Material.

Upper Floor Insulation Project The upper floor of Pelletier is closed to the public this week while a crew adds insulation above the ceiling. The project is scheduled to take approximately five days and should be completed by June 24th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Pelletier Will Be Open "24/7" During Final Exams That's right, "24/7", beginning Wednesday, April 30, 2008 and continuing until the library closes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Students will be free to use all three floors as a study hall, but only limited Circulation services will be available during early morning hours. A new Allegheny ID will be required to enter the building after 10 p.m. each day (After 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening).

Important Information for Students and Faculty! Beginning Monday, April 21st all entry into Pelletier Library after 10:00 p.m. will require one of the new Allegheny College IDs. If coming to Pelletier after 10:00 P.M., please remember to bring your ID with you and to take it home with you when you leave.

E-ZBorrow Will Be Down Friday, March 14 The E-ZBorrow Interlibrary Loan System will be down for maintenance beginning at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, March 14th. The service should be back up by Monday, March 17th.

Spring Break Hours Begin Friday, March 14th The Library will close at 6:00 P.M. rather than the normal time of 9:00 P.M. on Friday, March 14th. It will remain closed throughout the weekend. Complete Spring Break Hours are as follows:
Saturday - Sunday, March 15-16: CLOSED
Monday, - Friday, March 17-21: 7:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Saturday, March 22: CLOSED
Sunday, March 23: 2:30 P.M. - 1:00 A.M.

Wrecking Ball Cafe Has New Expanded Schedule The Wrecking Ball Cafe on the main floor of Pelletier Library is open more hours. It is now open every afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday - Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Library Extends Hours on Friday & Saturday Nights Beginning February 8, 2008 Pelletier Library will close at 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The previous closing time for both nights was 6:00 p.m.

Reserve a Pelletier Group Study On-line Great News! It is now possible to reserve a group study space using an on-line form. Just click on"Library Forms" from the Library's home page and choose the "Group Study Room Reservation Form".
