Responses to The EDUCAUSE Guide to Evaluating Technology on Campus
Allegheny College recognizes that, during the college search process, students and parents are assessing the effective use of information technology to evaluate colleges and universities. In cooperation with the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, EDUCAUSE recently developed a Consumer Guide, which provides a series of questions that students and parents can ask to assist in this process.
Allegheny College is pleased to cooperate in this effort by publishing our responses to the questions in the EDUCAUSE Guide. We hope this information will help students and parents to better examine the College's technology infrastructure and services and to understand how Allegheny incorporates information technology to ensure the academic, administrative and social vitality of the College.
Allegheny is a member of EDUCAUSE, a non-profit association that aims to "shape and enable transformational change in higher education through the introduction, use, and management of information resources and technologies in teaching, learning, scholarship, research, and institutional management."
EDUCAUSE membership is open to institutions of higher education, corporations serving the higher education information technology market, and other related associations and organizations.
