Arriving at Allegheny

New students and parents are invited to arrive on Saturday, August 23 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Orientation program will begin Saturday afternoon. For a schedule of events for students and parents and/or guardians, please visit the Schedules page. This weekend is designed with events for both parents and students to enjoy.

When you arrive on campus, please go directly to your residence hall. There will be traffic coordinators around each residence hall to help you find your way. Please have photo ID with you (preferably a driver's license) so that we may give you your residence hall keys and your Orientation packet.

Transportation Service Information

To get to the City of Meadville from I-79, take Exit 147A (formerly Exit 36A). [When traveling to campus, you can check Pennsylvania highway conditions by calling the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Road Conditions Hotline toll-free at 1 (888) 783-6783.]

From Exit 147A, travel on Route 322 East. Take the Park Avenue Exit and follow Park Avenue straight through town. After six (6) traffic lights, turn right onto Chestnut Street. At the next traffic light, turn left to go around Diamond Park and turn right onto North Main Street. After two traffic lights, bear right up the hill to Allegheny College. Use the map of Meadville below. Signs pointing the way to campus have also been posted on this route through Meadville to aid you in finding the College.
