The Movies at Meadville Sponsors Free “Happy Feet” Showing To Support Creating Landscapes

MEADVILLE, Pa. – June 23, 2008 – The Movies at Meadville will host a free public showing of the family film “Happy Feet” on Thursday, July 10 at 5 p.m.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Creating Landscapes Scholarship Fund.

Creating Landscapes, a summer celebration of the Allegheny College Dance Studies program, is an interdisciplinary exploration of active learning through the arts and sciences offered to children and teens. The theme for this year's program, which will be held July 7-25, is “Sounds and Shapes.”

“Happy Feet,” directed by George Miller, was a 2007 Academy Award winner in the Best Animated Feature Film category. The film was also honored by the Golden Globe Awards, the New York Critics Online, New York Film Critics Circle and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
