MEADVILLE, Pa. – Nov. 13, 2008 – The Allegheny College Association is selling holiday cards with a snowy campus scene to raise funds for ACA Continuing Education Scholarships.
The program, now in its 34th year, provides competitive scholarships to Allegheny College for women who reside in Crawford County. A tuition waiver contributed by Allegheny College allows each recipient to enroll in a maximum of 12 credits during the academic year. A stipend is also provided each semester to help with costs such as books, child-care and travel.
This year's holiday cards feature a photo by Bill Owen, Allegheny College class of 1974, of the Rustic Bridge, an Allegheny landmark. Eight cards are in a pack, and blank cards as well as cards featuring a seasonal greeting are available. The cost is $8.
