Gator Women Compete at North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Allegheny College seniors Emily Pfeufer (St. Marys, Pa./Elk County Catholic) and Liz Straus (Kirtland, Ohio/Kirtland) competed at the North Central College Last Chance Meet on Thursday and Friday.

Pfeufer tied for third in the high jump with a height of 5-03.25 while Straus was one spot back at 5-01.25.

Pfeufer also finished third in the javelin throw (122-02), seventh in the long jump (17-02.25) and 11th in the triple jump (35-05.75). She will compete in the heptathlon at Division III Nationals next week (May 22-24) in Oshkosh, Wisc. as a result of her victory in the event at the NCAC Combined Championships.
