Gator Trio Earns All-Conference Honors

GRANVILLE, Ohio – Allegheny juniors Mike Wolfe (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Kyle Jastromb (Kent, Ohio/Kent Roosevelt), and sophomore Christian Goetz (Burgettstown, Pa./Burgettstown Area) earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team honors for their play during nine rounds of league competition in 2007-08.

Each of the three totaled 681 strokes during their nine NCAC rounds, good for an average of 75.67 and a tie for third in the conference rankings. In addition to his third-place tie, Wolfe (pictured right) earned medalist honors after shooting three over par in two rounds at the Nye Intercollegiate hosted by Wooster.

Overall, Allegheny (2,714 strokes) finished second during the 2007-08 NCAC season. Ohio Wesleyan (2,669 strokes) captured the league crown and automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Nationals while Denison (2,796), Wittenberg (2,812), and Wooster (2,820) rounded out the top five.
