Gator Duo Finishes 3rd and 5th in Decathlon

COMPLETE RESULTS

OBERLIN, Ohio - Allegheny College junior Peter Sotherland (Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Central) and freshman Cedric Gamble (Boalsburg, Pa./State College) placed third and fifth, respectively, at the the NCAC Multi-Event Championships, hosted by Oberlin on April 26-27.

Sotherland, pictured right, scored 5306 points in the decathlon after tying for first in the pole vault (4.04m) and placing second in the discus throw (29.36m). Gamble was fifth overall with 5022 points and tied Sotherland in the pole vault portion of the event with a jump of 4.04m.
