Frank Tupta Named Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Allegheny College senior thrower Frank Tupta (University Heights, Ohio/Hawken) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Westminster meet on Saturday.

Tupta finished third overall in the shot put event with a career-best throw of 53 feet, 7 inches. His mark also met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.

The Gators will split squads this upcoming weekend at the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich. on Friday, April 25 and the NCAC Combined Event Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
