Zach Skowvron Named NCAC Hitter of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Allegheny College junior outfielder Zach Skowvron (Georgetown, Pa./South Side Beaver) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for his performance during the Gators' 6-1 run last week.

Skowvron batted an even .500 (10-for-20) with a homerun and nine runs batted in. He also doubled, tripled, and scored six times to go along with six walks. Allegheny won six of seven games last week and kept themselves in post season contention with a 4-0 mark in NCAC play.

On the year, Skowvron is batting .389 with four homers and 28 RBI.

The Gators (14-14, 7-7 NCAC) return to action later this afternoon with a non-conference doubleheader at PSU-Behrend. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
