Gators Compete at Slippery Rock Apr 12, 2008
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The second half of the Allegheny women's track and field team competed at the Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday after a majority of the squad competed at Bucknell on Friday. Sarah Sammel (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park), pictured right, finished third in the pole vault event with a jump of 3.20m. Liz Earley (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) placed second in the hammer throw (50.20m), sixth in the discus throw (33.12m), and 11th in the shot put (10.40m). The Gators next compete at the Indiana University (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday, April 19.
