Ryan Place Named Athlete of the Week Apr 8, 2008
Place outlasted a field of 48 runners to place first in the 1500m run with a time of 3:53.30. His time gave him an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying-mark and was less than three seconds away from the automatic mark of 3:50.60. The Gators will split squads this weekend at the Bucknell Distance Carnival on Friday, April 11 and the Slippery Rock Invite on Saturday, April 12.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Allegheny College senior runner Ryan Place (Meshoppen, Pa./Elk Lake) has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week in middle distance/distance running for his performance at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Saturday.
