Rachel Ryan Named NCAC Player of the Week Apr 8, 2008
Ryan helped the Gators to a 4-0 record in NCAC play after batting 7-for-17 (.412) with a pair of homers, a double, a triple, two walks and 11 RBI. Allegheny swept Oberlin 11-2 and 18-2 on Tuesday then defeated Kenyon 2-0 and 6-4 on Saturday. Overall in 2008, Ryan is batting a team-best .435 and holds the team-lead in homeruns (2), RBI (22), walks (10), and doubles (6). The Gators (13-9, 4-0 NCAC) return to action on Wednesday, April 9 at Wooster. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Allegheny College junior shortstop Rachel Ryan (West Salem, Ohio/Northwestern) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance during Allegheny’s 5-1 run over the last week of competition.
