Gator Women Place 3rd at Ashland Invitational

COMPLETE RESULTS

ASHLAND, Ohio - The Allegheny women's golf team finished in third place out of 10 teams competing at the Ashland University/Huntington Bank Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The Gators finished with a two-day total of 684 as only Division I Dayton and Division II Ashland placed ahead of the Blue and Gold.

Julia Wears (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Ogdensburg Free Academy) led the Gators with a two-day total of 169 (87+82) while Alison Bruckner (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) shot 172 (85+87) for the event.

Jaime Reints (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) totaled 175 and had the Gators' best round with an 81 on Sunday while Laura Burkholder (Erie, Pa./Collegiate Academy) finished at 177 strokes (90+87). Lisa Coleman (Lakeview, N.Y./Frontier Central) shot 89 on both days to total 178 while Laura Hilger (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) finished at 180 (86+94)

Competing as an individual, Hannah Schonau-Taylor (Newport, Ore./Newport) totaled 184 (91+93).

The Gators next compete at the Ohio Northern Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13.
