
Gator Women Win McDaniel Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Allegheny women's golf team shot a final-round 332 to capture their fifth team-title of the season at the McDaniel College Invite at The Bridges Golf Club Sunday. Senior Lisa Coleman (Lakeview, N.Y./Frontier Central) shot her second lowest round of the season en route to earning medalist honors at the event.
As a team, the Gators bettered their score from day one by 26 strokes. Coleman improved her score by 12 while totaling 162 strokes for the weekend.
Division II Kutztown (699) finished nine strokes back of the Gators while Nazareth (730) was a distant third.
Along with Coleman, Julia Wears (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Ogdensburg Free Academy) and Jamie Reints (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) each finished in the top 10 with respective second-round scores of 83 and 84.
Laura Hilger and Alison Bruckner (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) shot 90 and 91 to round out the scoring for the Gators while Laura Burkholder (Erie, Pa./Collegiate Academy) competed as an individual and totaled a 92.
The Gators next travel to Ashland, Ohio for the Ashland University Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6.
