Gaton Women in 3rd at Carnegie Mellon Mar 28, 2008
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Allegheny women's track and field team sits in third place after two events on day one of the Western Pennsylvania Championships hosted by Carnegie Mellon. Freshman Emily Dunn (Valencia, Pa./Mars) led the Gators with a second-place finish in the 10,000m run. Two Gators competed on day one with Dunn finishing the 10,000m race in a time of 42:36.89. Fellow classmate Lindsay Pugh (Natrona Heights, Pa./Highlands) also competed and finished sixth with a time of 43:08.95. The duo totaled nine points overall for Allegheny. The bulk of the competition begins tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Live resuls will be posted courtesy of the Carnegie Mellon sports information department.
