Zac Ross Named Runner of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The North Coast Athletic Conference has announced Allegheny freshman Zac Ross (Meadville, Pa./Meadville Area) as the league’s Distance Runner of the Week for his performance at the North Carolina-Charlotte Invitational this past weekend.

Ross placed fifth out of 40 competitors in the 5,000m run with a time of 14:58.49. The runner of the week honors add to the freshman’s already impressive resume which includes Newcomer of the Year status in cross country and a pair of all-conference performances during the indoor track season.

The Gators will be back in action this weekend, March 28-29, at the Western, Pa. Championships hosted by Carnegie Mellon.
