Gator Men Improve on Day Two of Jekyll Island

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - After getting off to a slow start on day one of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Classic, the Allegheny men's golf team improved their team score by 14 strokes and currently sits in 17th place in the 26-team field.
Allegheny totaled 306 amongst their top five scorers in the round.
Mike Wolfe (Erie, Pa./McDowell) led the Gators with a score of 72 while Billy Wisniewski (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) shot a 76. Both Kevin Day (Zelienopole, Pa./Seneca Valley) and Christian Goetz (Burgettstown, Pa./Burgettstown Area) finished with 18-hole totals of 79 while Kyle Jastromb (Kent, Ohio/Kent Roosevelt) rounded out the scoring for Allegheny with an 81.
Individually, Corey Shemelya (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge Area) shot a 78 while Chris Moore (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) turned in an 85.
Day three tee-times are set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
