Straus Named NCAC Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Allegheny College senior Liz Straus (Kirtland, Ohio/Kirtland) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference women’s field athlete of the week for her performance at the Kent State University Tune-Up on Saturday.
Straus, competing in the high jump, finished in ninth place with an indoor personal-best jump of five feet, one inch. Straus’ jump also gave her a qualifying mark for the upcoming league championship at Denison.
Straus and the rest of the Gators travel to Granville, Ohio on Friday and Saturday, February 29 to March 1 for the NCAC Indoor Championships.
