CLEVELAND, Ohio – Allegheny College senior Liz Earley (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference field athlete of the week for her performance Saturday at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-February meet.
Earley, who recorded a distance of 55-3.50 in the weight throw, now has the fourth furthest throw in Division III to date. The throw was also a mere 4.75 inches from her own school record and 5.75 inches from an NCAA Division III Automatic qualifier, as she has already earned an NCAA provisional mark.
In addition, she placed fifth in the meet’s shot put event with an NCAC qualifying distance of 37-5.25.
Earley and the Gators return to action on Saturday, February 23 at the Kent State invite.
