Bell Named NCAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – After leading the Gators to a 65-48 conference win at Wooster on Wednesday, Allegheny sophomore guard Brittany Bell (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference women’s basketball player of the week, announced by the NCAC on Monday.

Bell scored a game- and career-high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. She also connected on 6-of-8 shots from three-point range, marking the third highest single-game three-point total in Allegheny history. For the season, Bell is averaging 8.9 points per game and leads the Gators with 28 triples.

Bell and the Gators (6-12, 3-6 NCAC) will look to ride the momentum from their win into Hiram on Tuesday, February 5. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
