Annie Schultheis Earns All-NCAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio- For a second consecutive season, Allegheny senior outside hitter Annie Schultheis (Canton, Ohio/GlenOak) was named an All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection, earning second-team All-NCAC honors for her play during the 2007 campaign.

Schultheis led the Gators this fall with 391 kills while finishing second on the squad with 423 digs. For her career, she ranks fifth on Allegheny’s all-time kills list with 1,249 over her four years with the program. She also cracked the school’s top 10 list in attack attempts (3,497), digs (1,407), and service aces (117), ranking fourth, sixth, and eighth in the respective categories.

In 2006, she earned All-NCAC Honorable Mention status and was also named the NCAC’s Player of the Week earlier this fall. Schultheis appeared in 120 matches for the Blue and Gold over the past four seasons, playing in 420 games overall.
