Gators End Season With Loss at Ohio Wesleyan

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny College volleyball team dropped their season finale on Saturday to the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops in three games, 30-22, 30-21, 30-23.
Leading the way for the Gators was senior Annie Schultheis (Canton, Ohio/GlenOak), in her final game in the Blue and Gold, as she recorded a team-best 12 kills while adding 15 digs. Classmate Betsy LaPorte (Albany, Ohio/Alexander) was second on the team with nine kills, while aiding the defensive effort with five blocks.
Alyssa Edwards (League City, Texas/Clear Creek) recorded 19 digs to lead the team, pushing her season total to 678 and into second place on the single season list in school history. Jordan Leopold (Valencia, Pa./Mars) added 14 digs, a new career high for the freshman, while sophomore setter Amanda Bancroft (Centerville, Pa./Maplewood) dished out 27 assists to pace the squad.
The Gators end the season with a 12-16 record and going 3-11 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.
