GRANVILLE, Ohio – After a pair of close losses to North Coast Athletic Conference opponents, the Allegheny College Gators rebounded by tying one of the top teams in the league and the country (ranked 13th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, NSCAA), Denison University, 0-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Rebecca O’Shurak (Meadville, Pa./Meadville Area) picked up the shutout, the first of her young career, stopping 11 of the 18 shots that came her way in the game.

Allegheny was out-shot by an 18-8 margin, with Katie Murphy (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and Abby Silvester (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) each leading the team with three shots apiece.

The Gators next take to the pitch on Tuesday, October 16 when they play host to the Terriers of Hiram College with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. at the Robertson Soccer Field.
