Oct 13, 2007 Box Score
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – It took an extra nine minutes of action, but the Allegheny College men’s soccer team scored in overtime to give the Gators a 1-0 victory over Wabash College, taking the team to 4-1-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference and 9-4-0 overall.
Despite 19 shots in regulation, the Gators were unable to find the back of the net, and it took the team’s 20th to give Allegheny the golden-goal victory. Eric Sloan (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) took a free kick and found David Egan (Gibsonia, Pa./Shady Side Academy) for a header, giving the visitors the narrow victory.
Ryan Larkin (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) picked up the shutout, his seventh of the season, stopping three shots in the win. His counterpart, Jon Miller, had nine saves in allowing the solitary goal.
The Gators next take to the pitch on Tuesday, October 16, when they play host to the Terriers of Hiram College starting at 7:30 p.m.
