Pair run at Hillsdale Gina Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. – Two Allegheny runners, Michelle Corkum (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) and Mia Symoniak (Snyder, N.Y./Amherst Central) competed for the squad at the 41st annual Hillsdale “Gina” Relays on Friday evening.
Corkum, competing in the 10,000-meter run, ran the 6.2 miles in a time of 37:50.45, just ten seconds off of the NCAA Division III Provisional qualifying mark of 37:40, placing 12th overall.
Symoniak placed 56th in the 5,000-meter run, finishing the race in a time of 18:30.32, a fraction of a second off of her personal best.
The Gator team is also competing at the Baldwin-Wallace Invitational on Saturday, along with the North Coast Athletic Conference multi-event championships at Wittenberg on Saturday and Sunday.
