Gators Take Third at Rhodes

TUNICA, Miss. – The Allegheny College Gators took third at the Rhodes Fall Invitational, hosted at the Tunica National Golf Club, in Tunica, Mississippi. The Gators shot a 375 on the first day before shooting 40 strokes lower on the second day, carding a team score of 335.

Leading the way for the Gators was Lisa Coleman (Lakeview, N.Y./Frontier Central), who led the team on each day, carding a team-best 90 on the first day before putting up an 81 on the second day. Jaime Reints (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) was two strokes behind Coleman on both days, shooting a 92 and 83 on back-to-back days.

Alison Bruckner (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) shot a 96 on the first day, before recovering with an 84 on the second day. Lauren Torso (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) was the fourth finisher for the Gators on both days, shooting an 97 on the first day before carding a career-low 87 on the second day. Kim Elam (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) rounded out the varsity five with scores of 101 and 89 over the two days.

The tournament rounds out the fall season for the Gators, as the next time the squad takes to the links on March 23-25 when the compete at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Classic.
