HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Allegheny College women’s golf team ended the first day of their inaugural NCAA Tournament in ninth place, shooting a first-round 363 on the long, difficult course.

Leading the Gators through the first day was freshman Jaime Reints (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East), right, who used three straight birdies on holes 14, 15 and 16 to shoot a first-round 83, good for a tie for 19th among the elite field.

Lisa Coleman (Lakeview, N.Y./Frontier Central) shot an 88, placing her in a tie for 34th among the competition, while Alison Bruckner is sitting in 46th place, shooting a first-round 92.
