Men’s Track Competes at Baldwin-Wallace

BEREA, Ohio – The Allegheny College Gators sent a partial squad to the Sparky Adams Invitational, hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College on Saturday afternoon.
Leading the way for the Gator men was Garret Piispanen (Fruita, Colo./Fruita Monument), who took second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.31, his best this season, and second best in the NCAC heading into the conference championships.
Marcus Solomon (Rockwell, Texas/Dallas Christian) ran a time of 11.38 in the 100-meter dash, meeting the NCAC qualifying mark. Solomon and Chas Moore-Seymour (Buffalo, N.Y./St. Francis) each met the NCAC qualifying marks in the 200-meter dash, sprinting to a time of 22.81 and 23.06, respectively.
Frank Tupta (University Heights, Ohio/Hawken) met the NCAC qualifying standard in the discus throw, tossing to a distance of 132-8, while Kitt Tuttle (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) set a personal best, but missing out on the conference mark. Tuttle threw a toss of 141-6 in the hammer throw, meeting the conference standard, while Tupta had a season-best shot put toss of 47-10.
The Gators compete on Thursday and Friday, May 4-5 at the NCAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
