Gator Women Take Second at Otterbein

NEW ALBANY, Ohio – The Allegheny College Gator women’s golf team took second of ten teams at the Lady Cardinal Spring Invitational hosted by Otterbein College.

Otterbein, the host, took first in the event, shooting a second-day total of 338 for a two-round total of 695, as the Gators shot a 356, second best in the second day, carding a two-day total of 716. Ohio Northern and Wilmington rounded out the top four, shooing scores of 728 and 762, respectively.

Alison Bruckner (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) and Jaime Reints (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) tied for fourth place to lead the Gators, each shooting rounds of 87 and 83 en route to the two-day total of 170. Erin Winings (Rockford, Ohio/Parkway) and Lisa Coleman (Lakeview, N.Y./Frontier Central) tied for 21st, each shooting a 188, rounding out the scoring four for the Gators. Lauren Torso (Zelienople/Seneca Valley) shot a two-day total of 203, good for 40th in the tournament

The next match for the Blue and Gold is on Friday and Saturday, April 14 and 15 when the team travels to Ashland, Ohio to compete in the Ashland University Invite, starting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
