Gator Women Second at Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Nationally ranked Allegheny and Otterbein are battling for the championship trophy at the Otterbein Invitational, as the Gators currently trail the Cardinals by three, 357-to-360 in the first day of the two-day event.

The two teams are dominating the 10-team field, as Ohio Northern is sitting in third place with a first-day total of 371. Baldwin-Wallace and Wilmington are fourth and fifth, respectively, with scores of 389 and 393.

Leading the way for the Gators are Alison Bruckner (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) and Jaime Reints (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East), who each shot an 87, good for a tie for third, while Lisa Coleman (Lakeview, N.Y./Frontier Central) shot a 90, good for a tie of 11th place. Erin Winings (Rockford, Ohio/Parkway) rounded out the scoring four for the Blue and Gold with a 96, placing 25th, while Lauren Torso (Zelienople/Seneca Valley) carded a 103 as the fifth player for the Blue and Gold.

The tournament concludes tomorrow morning.
