Quartet Compete at Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Four Gator women, Emily Pfeufer (St. Mary’s/Elk County Catholic), Elizabeth Earley (Venetia/Peters Township), Katie Pankowski (Pittsburgh/Woodland Hills) and Laura Schuh (Orchard Park, N.Y./Hamburg) competed at the Slippery Rock Invitational, an unscored event.
Pfeufer, a sophomore, won the long jump, leaping to a distance of 17-2.0, while Earley placed first in the hammer throw, with a toss of 143-1.5, while also placing fourth in the shot put with a heave of 36-1.5.
Paknowski placed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 110-5, while Schuh placed seventh in the same event with a distance of 94-10.
The Blue and Gold next hit the track for a competition on March 31 and April 1, as the team competes in the Western Pennsylvania Championships, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University.
