Soccer Falls to Pitt-Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Allegheny College men’s soccer team dropped to 6-5-3 overall with a loss today to the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats (2-12-1). The Gators out shot the Bobcats 17-10, but could not get the ball past the Greensburg keeper in the 1-0 defeat.
The Blue and Gold’s seven shots on goal were all stopped, as seven different Allegheny players took those shot attempts. It was the fourth and final Greensburg shot on net that snuck by Gator goalkeeper Thaddeus Rupp (Buckhannon, W.Va./ Buckhannon-Upshur) in his first action of the 2005 season.
The Gators get back into conference play this Wednesday, October 19, when they square off against the Hiram Terriers on Robertson Field at 3:30 p.m.
