Boxscore

MEADVILLE, Pa. – After the Gators took a 1-0 lead 13 minutes into the game, the College of Wooster scored back-to-back goals in under a minute to take a 2-1 lead, and held on for the rest of the game for the one-goal victory.

Ashley Rogerson (Fairport, N.Y.) knocked a shot above the keeper's head just 12:28 into the game. The one-goal lead lasted for exactly 2:46 until Wooster’s Sarah Schostarez found a ball in the box and put it into the back of the net, knotting the game at one. Fifty-one seconds later Erin Lustic followed suit and put a loose ball into the back of the net, giving the visiting Scots a 2-1 lead.

Defense prevailed the rest of the way, as neither team could find the net for the remaining 73:35 of the game.

With the loss, the Gators fall to 7-3-1 on the season and 1-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference while Wooster improves to 6-3-2 overall and 1-0 in league action.

The Gators continue their homestand on Saturday, October 8, as the team plays the early game of a women’s/men’s double header, with the women facing off against Ohio Wesleyan University at 11:00 a.m., before the men face off against Kenyon at 1:30 p.m.
