Bilec, Rogerson Named to All-Region Team

MEADVILLE, Pa. (Dec. 8, 2004) — Two Allegheny women’s soccer players were named to the 2004 All-Region Team. Junior forwards Jen Bilec (Pittsburgh, Pa/Mount Lebanon) and Ashley Rogerson (Fairport, N.Y) led the Gators to a 9-7-2 overall record, 4-4 in conference play.
This is Bilec’s second time being named an All-Region player, as she was also honored after the 2003 season. She also made her third consecutive appearance on the All-NCAC second team this season. Bilec had seven points overall and led the Gators in assists, tallying five. A Communications Major, she is the daughter of James and Carol Bilec of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Rogerson was a member of the All-NCAC first team. She was second on the team with goals, scoring six times this season. Rogerson finished the season strong, scoring both goals in a 2-1 overtime win at Wooster. She was also named NCAC Player of the Week on October 23. Rogerson also excels on the lacrosse field and was named to the All-Region team for lacrosse last spring. She is double majoring in neuroscience and psychology and is the daughter of Thomas and Karyn Rogerson of Fairport, N.Y.
