Rogerson Garners NCAC Honors

MEADVILLE, Pa. - Allegheny College junior Ashley Rogerson (Fairport, N.Y.) has been named the NCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 25.

Rogerson scored both of the Gators’ goals in a 2-1 overtime victory at the College of Wooster last week. The Scots scored early in the second half and held the lead until Rogerson scored off an assist from freshman defender Kristin White (Los Alamos, N.M.) with 3:59 to play. The Gator midfielder then scored an unassisted goal three minutes into overtime to give AC an important conference triumph.

The winning goal not only gives Rogerson two game-winning scores this season but also gives her the team lead in points. She is tied for the team-high with five goals and has 11 points on the season to lead the squad.

A Neuroscience and Psychology major, Rogerson is the daughter of Thomas and Karyn Rogerson of Fairport, N.Y.
