Gators Blanked at OWU

Delaware, Ohio - The Allegheny women’s soccer team fell to NCAC-unbeaten Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops 4-0 Saturday night in Delaware, Ohio. Allegheny is now 7-4-2, 2-2 NCAC as OWU is 10-3-1, 5-0.
Ohio Wesleyan, ranked 17th in the nation, controlled the game seeking revenge for last year’s 3-1 loss in Meadville which snapped their 61-game win streak. Allegheny was out-shot 24-5 and out-cornered 5-0.
Junior goalkeeper Beth Van Parys (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) made 13 saves in the loss.
The Gators return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Wooster, Ohio to face the 11-3-1, 2-3 Fighting Scots.
