Allegheny Wins Big Over Oberlin
Apr 20, 2004 Freshman Michelle Dudevoir (West Point, N.Y./O’Neill) had four goals to lead the Allegheny College women’s lacrosse team to a 19-6 win over Oberlin College in a North Coast Athletic Conference contest on Tuesday afternoon. Four other Gators scored three goals as Allegheny improved to 5-4 on the year and 1-2 in the NCAC.
Freshman Jenn Lockhart (Cumberland, Maine/Greely), senior Joan Anderson (Holt, Mich./Holt) and sophomores Emily Deering (Hollis, Maine/Bonny Eagle) and Ashley Rogerson (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) each had three goals for Allegheny in the win.
19 goals is the most scored by the Gators in a game this season. Junior Ashley Lemmon (Allison Park, Pa./Winchester) added two goals and freshman Christine Avitable (West Islip, N.Y./Stony Brook) added one more.
Allegheny outshot the Yeowomen, 45-16, as Oberlin goalie Sarah Pilzer made 20 saves in net.
The Gators return to action on Saturday, April 24, when they host Ohio Wesleyan at Robertson Field in a 1:00 p.m. game.
