Student Consumer Information

In the Catalogue and elsewhere, Allegheny complies with eligibility requirements for Title IV federal funding by routinely giving current and prospective students certain "consumer information." Some consumer information is not distributed routinely to prospective students, but is available upon request. If prospective students have not received the following information, they have the right to request it:

  1. Descriptions of all financial aid programs, need-based or otherwise, including application procedures, eligibility requirements, and selection criteria.
  2. Information concerning the rights and responsibilities of financial aid recipients, including continued-eligibility criteria, disbursement methods, and loan terms
  3. Comprehensive cost-of-attendance information.
  4. Allegheny's refund policy.
  5. Academic program information, including faculty and facilities.
  6. Descriptions of special facilities and services available to disabled students.
  7. Accreditation information.
  8. Allegheny's annual campus security report, providing campus crime statistics, procedures for reporting crimes, various security policies, and other such information.

In addition, Allegheny produces an annual report on its athletic participation rates and financial support for men's and women's programs, which report is available upon request to either current or prospective students.

Requests for financial aid, cost-of-attendance, and refund information should be directed to Sheryle Proper, Director of Financial Aid. Other requests for consumer information should be directed to Megan Murphy, Director of Admissions.
