The Office of Diversity Affairs reflects Allegheny's commitment to the understanding and appreciation of cultural differences. The staff work with various College departments to promote the educational, cultural and social growth of students.

As part of its mission, this office works with students of color to increase awareness and understanding of diversity issues through campus-wide programs, services, and activities. Involvement in Diversity Affairs events can add the important element of cultural appreciation to students' educational experiences and can prepare members of the campus community to be productive citizens in a diverse world.

Diversity Affairs acts as a primary source of information and as a referral agent to assist students in finding help, understanding the procedures and resources of the College, and learning the skills necessary for success in college.
