The Myers Endowment Challenge for Faculty Support & Student Learning

Quote from Herb Myers '61

Engaged and powerful collaboration between students and faculty members is the hallmark of the Allegheny experience. Because Allegheny's greatest asset is its people, the College is only as strong as the capital reserves that support them.

To help bolster Allegheny's endowment, trustee Herb Myers '61 has pledged $1 million to match new gifts and pledges for faculty support and student learning made in the final year of the Tradition & Transformation campaign (through June 2006). Specifically, Herb will match dollar-for-dollar endowment gifts/pledges ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. Endowment gifts for science and computer equipment will also qualify for this challenge. Pledges may be paid over as many as five years.

Many alumni have been considering how they can best help Allegheny with a capital gift above and beyond their Annual Fund support. Now, your commitment for endowment support will leverage additional dollars to help Allegheny continue to attract and retain the best teachers and to further strengthen student learning.
