The College's Annual Fund makes a difference every day in the life of every student. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide support for scholarships, academic departments, internships, library journals and databases, computer and lab resources, athletics, campus beautification, and more. Just as the Annual Fund supports every program and every student on campus, it is supported by the entire spectrum of the Allegheny community: alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff.

Investing in the Annual Fund
Donors to the Annual Fund may make an unrestricted gift, which provides the College's leadership with the flexibility to direct funds where they are most needed, or designate their gifts for a particular program or purpose. Whether designated or unrestricted, each gift provides essential operating support for the College's ongoing needs.
No college-public or independent-supports its entire program through tuition and fees alone. Increased support for the Annual Fund is not only critically important for enhancing what we offer students, but it will also ensure that we remain competitive with colleges with larger endowments, including many of our peer schools.

Making a Difference for Every Allegheny Student
The support of our alumni, parents, employees, and friends through the Annual Fund builds the foundation for all that we do at Allegheny College. The Annual Fund helps to provide scholarship aid for many of our students - young men and women whose hard work and solid record of accomplishment have earned them a place on campus. For many of these students, scholarship aid is a prerequisite for attending Allegheny College - without it, their dream of an Allegheny education would go unrealized.
In addition, the Annual Fund subsidizes the education of every Allegheny student. If tuition had to pay the bills that are currently underwritten by the Annual Fund, every student on campus would pay an additional $1,400 each year.
Perhaps most important, through support for academic departments and our faculty, the Annual Fund makes possible one of the hallmarks of the Allegheny experience: close mentoring relationships between teachers and students. By helping to keep our student-faculty ratio low, the Annual Fund enables our professors to give students the attention they deserve.
