Abby Bodenlos and Rachel Ryan Named NFCA All-Region
May 16 - STARKVILLE, Miss. - Allegheny College senior second baseman Abby Bodenlos (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy) and junior shortstop Rachel Ryan (West Salem, Ohio/Northwest) were named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Central Region team announced by the NFCA on Friday.

May 13 - CLEVELAND, Ohio - Allegheny College senior second baseman Abby Bodenlos (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season while freshman catcher Marci Potuzko (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) earned NCAC Newcomer of the Year honors as six different Allegheny Gators were named to the 2008 All-NCAC softball squad.

Denison and Hiram Advance to NCAC Championship
May 3 - MEADVILLE, Pa. - On another wet and dreary day at Robertson Field, #3 Denison and #4 Hiram advanced to the championship round of the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Championship. Denison earned the top position after defeating the Terriers in today's opening game. Host and top-seeded Allegheny defeated Ohio Wesleyan in the other matchup before Hiram beat the Gators for the second straight day, earning the right to play Denison on Sunday.
