I. Up Till Dawn- Kassie Foster
A. Background Info-
· St. Jude’s specializes in cancer research
· Allegheny students fundraise for group
· Fundraise through letter writing
B. Athletic Involvement
· One team this year; first time ever (Women’s tennis)
· Prepared letter package for teams
C. Pros
· Good boost for athletics service
D. Future
· No second letter writing this semester
· Take info back to coaches and have coaches send interest back

II. Girls and Women in Sports Day
A. Female Athlete-of-the-Month winners will be honored
1. Honored at women’s game @ 2PM at halftime
2. Try to get as many SAAC members @ game as possible
a. Support athlete of the month
b. Gather for recognition (e-mail to be sent)
3. Male athletes honored on Feb. 15th
III. Constitution/Mission Statement Subcommittee
A. Build statement and executive board
1. Sign up sheet
2. Group meets every other week or as needed
IV. Athletes of the Month
A. December
1. Male- Matt Majzlik
2. Female-Caitlin Murtagh
B. January
1. Male- Kevin Pool
2. Female- Leah Shouey
C. Every athlete present had a vote, as per the rules
V. NCAC SAAC Review
A. Football Issue
1. Most students were for ball use
2. Most wanted to talk to football players
a. Each SAAC rep. would monitor 16 practices
b. Report back in review meetings
3. Poor showing from students
4. Possibly have an NCAC SAAC conference call before A.D.’s meeting in May
5. Point of discussion in the next A.D. meeting
6. Upset about student involvement or lack thereof in the decision-making process
VI. Gold Games update
A. Need off-season choice for sports
B. Volleyball and Women’s soccer already turned in
C. Email Michelle or Seth by end of the week
