MEADVILLE, Pa. - Over 45 teams from all divisions around the area along with some of the top individual competitors from throughout the nation competed at the second annual Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College on Friday.
Highlighting the day was an Olympic Trial provisional pole vault of 18 feet, four and one half inches by Allegheny alum Jeremy Scott. In addition, 26 Frank B. Fuhrer Field records fell while Gator senior Liz Earley (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) matched her school-record performance in the process of setting a new field mark in the hammer throw (55.64m). Also, 81 national qualifying marks were met.
