GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Allegheny College Gators were unable to win their second straight game against the Big Red of Denison University, falling 75-66 in a game that is much closer than the nine-point margin of victory would indicate. The Gators (11-15) trailed by just one with 1:40 to play before Denison (16-10) hit a basket and then iced the game by hitting 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Gators Look to Continue Strong Play

GRANVILLE, Ohio – Since the first meeting of the season between Allegheny College and Denison University; a 60-50 Big Red victory on January 26; the Gators have reeled off six wins in their last eight games, including a 67-59 upset victory over the same squad from Granville on Saturday. The reward for the Blue and Gold upset? A return trip to Granville in the first round of the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament, pushing the squad’s frequent-bus mileage to more than 870 over the last four days.
