Men's
Eric Rich
Baseball

Rich batted .411 over the first 15 games of the season for the Gators, leading the team in runs scored (12), triples (2) and total bases (34), and is tied for the team lead in home runs (2).

Women's
Emily Pfeufer Track & Field

Started the month by winning the long jump and triple jump, and placing fourth in the high jump at the NCAC Championships, en route to being named the NCAC Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year. Her leap in the triple jump was a NCAA Division III Provisional qualifying mark, and broke the NCAC Meet record. A week later, Pfeufer took fourth at the NCAA Division III Championships in the triple jump, earning All-America honors.

Basketball

Averaged a team-best 17.0 points per game during the month, including a 34-point outburst against Denison. Led the team with 13 steals, and finished third on the team with 14 assists. Scored his 34 points by hitting 13-of-20 shots from the field and 6-of-12 from three-point range. Hit 19-of-28 free throws during the month, and 19-of-45 three-point field goals.

Women's
Erin Ham Swimming & Diving

Placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke at the NCAC Championships, earning All-NCAC honors while her preliminary time of 1:05.90 met the NCAA Division III Provisional Qualifying mark. Also helped the 400- and 200-yard medley relay teams to third place finishes, giving Ham three All-NCAC honors on the season.

Jimmy Savage
Basketball

Averaged a team-high 11.0 points per game during the month, while leading the team in steals, three-point baskets made and field goal percentage, and tying for the team lead in assists with 26. Savage hit 14-of-29 three-point attempts, including hitting 5-of-6 against Oberlin en route 21 points. He reached double figures in the scoring column six times and missing a seventh time by a single point. Also dished out at least three assists in seven of the nine games.

Women's
Carolyn Nairn Swimming & Diving

Won all10 individual events that she competed in during the week. She won both the 100 and 200 backstrokes against Hiram, while also picking up a win in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:12.40. Nairn also won the 200 freestyle (1:58.22) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.06) at Clarion on January 20. She swept the backstroke events at Carnegie Mellon, winning the 100 in a time of 1:02.90, and the 200 in 2:14.89, winning by six seconds while she also taking first in the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:58.71. Nairn ended the dual-meet season with an overall 21-0 record in her races after winning the 100 (55.62) and 200 freestyles (1:56.12), missing the NCAA “B” cut in the latter of the two by just .13.

Nick Johnson
Swimming & Diving
Johnson placed within the top 15 in two individual events and a relay at the Division I laden Eastern Michigan Invitational. He placed seventh in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in a time of 53.92, just off of the 52.79 needed for the NCAA “B” mark. Johnson also took 14th in the 500 freestyle, touching the wall in the middle-distance event in a time of 4:54.44. He also teamed up with three others to take 10th in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing in a time of 1:39.20, under three seconds from the school record. A day earlier Johnson placed sixth in the 200-yard backstroke, narrowly missing the “B” mark with a time of 1:55.91.
Women's
Jennifer Latronica Basketball

Averaged 12.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in a month that saw the Gators win six of its seven games. Reached double figures in five of six games during the month, and recording a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Maryville (Mo.) College in the first round of the South Padre Island Classic. Missed her single game school record in blocks by one, swatting seven shots against Ohio Wesleyan on December 9. Blocked 21 shots in six games on the month, and was ranked in the top five in Division III in blocked shots per game.

Ryan Place
Cross Country
Place became just the second Allegheny College men's cross country runner to earn All-America honors, placing sixth at the NCAA Division III National Meet. His sixth place finish was the highest individual place in school history, while leading the team to a third place finish in the championships. Place also finished third at the NCAA Mideast Regional, helping the team to a second place finish.
Women's
Katie Kestler Basketball Kestler averaged 17.0 points and four rebounds per game in helping the Allegheny College women’s basketball team to a 3-1 record through the first month of the season. She hit 13-of-30 three-point baskets in the month, becoming the school’s career leader in the statistic against Ohio Northern in the second game of the year. She also hit 54.3 percent of her shots from the field (25-of-46).

Men's
Jimmy Savage Football Savage played and started each of the team's four games during the month, completing 83-of-137 passes for 888 yards. He set the single game school records by throwing for 400 yards, completing 38-of-58 attempts, while also throwing a career-high four touchdowns. He was also second on the team in rushing yards for the month, rushing 28 times for 83 yards and two scores.
Women's
Betsy LaPorte Volleyball LaPorte played in all 54 games during the month, averaging 2.39 kills per game, and leading the team with a .292 attack percentage. She led the team with 76 blocks (1.41 per game), while also recording 45 digs and 18 service aces. On the last day of the season, LaPorte picked up five blocks against Earlham and five more against Bluffton.

Men's
Ryan Place Cross Country Place took second, first and second in his first three meets of the month. He finished first at the NCAA Pre-Regional Meet and second at the NCAA Pre-National Meet in Wilmington, Ohio. Place took second place in the season opener at Case Western Reserve and has a season-best time of 25:32.82 at the Pre-National Meet.
Women's
Christy McShea Soccer McShea played in 10 games during the month, scoring five goals, and dishing out one assist. She has two game-winning goals and the team is 5-0 when she scored a goal during the month.
