1982 – Prep School All-American at Mercersburg Prep in eight events: 100-yard backstroke (had fastest time in the nation by two seconds, 58.300-to-1:00.450), 100-yard butterfly (57.050), 50-yard freestyle (25.020), 100-yard freestyle (53.250), 500-yard freestyle (5:11.542), 200 Individual Medley (2:13.387), the 200 yard medley relay (1:49.120) and on the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:37.282)…Member of U.S. Championship 400 Medley Relay Team
World Records
Held World Record in the 200 Backstroke from 6/27/1986 until 8/25/1991
* June 27, 51st time record had been broken, 2:08.60, previous record was 2:09.91 – held record until 1991 when broken by Krisztina Egerszegi of Hungary, 2:06.62 with relaxed backstroke turning standards
Her time of 2:08.60 is still the 10th fastest backstroke time in the world, and is the sixth fastest backstroker to have swum competitively.
