Women's Golf: Gators Jump to Eighth at Division III Nationals
May 14 - WAVERLY, Iowa - The Allegheny women's golf team shot 316 on day two of the Division III Nationals at Centennial Oaks Golf Club. The score was the second best amongst the 29 teams competing and put the Gators in a tie for eighth place overall at the championship. Only first place and 10-time defending National Champion Methodist shot a better day two score (309) than the Gators.

Lacrosse: Five Gators Earn All-NCAC Honors
May 14 - CLEVELAND, Ohio - Five members of the Allegheny College lacrosse team were named to the 2008 All-North Coast Athletic Conference squad announced on Wednesday. Highlighting the Gator selections was a first-team nod for freshman attacker Jensen Paterson (Atlanta, Ga./The Lovett School).

Softball: Abby Bodenlos and Marci Potuzko Amongst Six Gators Honored by NCAC
May 13 - CLEVELAND, Ohio - Allegheny College senior second baseman Abby Bodenlos (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Academy) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season while freshman catcher Marci Potuzko (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) earned NCAC Newcomer of the Year honors as six different Allegheny Gators were named to the 2008 All-NCAC softball squad.

Men's Tennis: Allegheny Places Three on All-NCAC Squad
May 13 - CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Allegheny men's tennis team placed three of its players on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference team following their performance during the 2007-08 season. Junior Matt Chiricosta (Avon Lake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) was a first-team selection in both singles and doubles for the Gators.

May 13 - CLEVELAND, Ohio - Three members of the Allegheny women's tennis team earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors for their performance during the Gators' 14-10 run in 2007-08. Freshman Lauren Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) highlighted the selections with first team status in singles as well as second team recognition in doubles.

Women's Golf: Gators Qualify for NCAA Championships
May 6 - INDIANAPOLIS - For the third consecutive year, the Allegheny women's golf team has qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. The Gators are one of only 20 teams from throughout the nation that will be competing from May 13-16 at Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa.
