Chris Morgan is not far from Allegheny, but he is well on his way to becoming a doctor. Chris attends the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, a school that demands a lot. "LECOM expects professionalism, academic excellence, and personality," he says. "All of these things are a product of my attending Allegheny."

Chris credits Allegheny with teaching him how to learn material and interact well with others. He recalls the comp in particular, noting that it taught him persistence and dedication. "Even though my experiments didn't always work out how they should have, it was important to figure out what was not working and fix that problem," he says.

Despite the demands of studying medicine, Chris finds time to pursue other interests. "I love music," he says. "I play guitar in church and have set up a live performance night for LECOM students to show off their musical talents." He also serves as a LECOM representative to undergraduate schools, a role that occasionally allows him to return to Allegheny.

He advises fellow Gators to work hard from the start of their college career. "Don't play catch-up your junior and senior years," he says. "Explore options. There are a ton of careers in the world, so pick the one that best suits you and makes you happy."
